    Red Beryl is absolutely one of the rarest and increasingly most valuable gemstones available. That said, it's also becoming one of the most faked :( The last three ebay purchases we've made have all either been pink beryl (Pezzottaite or something else all together). Don't be fooled by the low priced huge stones being sold today from India. If its from Utah, and it's over a carat, it's worth well over a thousand dollars and that's a good deal!
    We tested this several times and ultimately landed on it being Pezzottaite as a result of higher RI readings.  A beautiful stone and as Pezzottaite  goes a lot closer to Red Beryl than the pinker stuff.
