These are not made in China or cheep foundries that have porosity causing leaks like other foreign-made valve covers; the quality you see in the pictures is the quality you will receive! For our older clientele we’ve installed the Fel-Pro valve cover gasket to make installation a breeze.
This new design 272, 292, 312 valve cover solves many issues that our Y-block customers have had for years on end. Our customers will now be able to vent through the highest point of the crankcase (as was determined in the late 60s to be the best location for crank case ventilation). This awesome new design allows customers to have a cleaner engine with longer lasting oil, so say goodbye to the moisture and gasses that get trapped in your old valve covers and say hello to a longer lasting engine! The raised design allows for extra rocker arm geometry clearance, with an integrated oil baffle plate to keep the rockers from throwing oil out of the engine when cap is off, or other accessories such as breather or PCV valve are used. The covers are stainless steel shot peened for a finish that will not rust and wipes clean of oil. The fastening locations has been machined to percision for proper torque distribution. These are the definition of premium in every respect! Please note that we recommend oiling the threads and o-ring of the billet valve cover accessory caps during first installation. This will help future removal of caps (similar to oiling the oil filter gasket). Some valve covers may come with the vent / cap holes pre-lubricated with Molly lube, however we still recommend oiling prior to installation.
