GRETSCH SOLID MAHOGANY SOPRANO UKULELE • 1950's *REAL NICE*

Up for sale is a very nice vintage Gretsch All Solid Mahogany Soprano Ukulele. Made in the USA sometime in the 1950's. This Ukulele has not been played much at all. Solid mahogany top, back and sides. I have gently cleaned then hand rubbed pure tangerine oil on it to bring out the natural beauty and grain of the mahogany. It really preserves and makes the wood stand out. The fretboard has also been gently cleaned and lightly oiled. Solid one piece mahogany neck and headstock. New Ernie Ball clear nylon strings need to be stretched out a bit so may require some extra tuning. A beautifully made very sweet sounding Ukulele with great sustain and intonation. There is a mild hairline crack below the bridge with no effect on the looks or playability. Also a mild scratch on the headstock that's hard to detect. The rest of this instrument is in excellent condition for a vintage 1950's model and has been well taken care of. Although the original friction tuners work fine I highly recommend newer Gotoh or Grover friction tuners for the utmost tuning capability. A perfect beginner to advanced player Ukulele that will be shipped in it's original box. No gig bag or case, just the Uke. Please ask any questions if interested.
